What makes a Blog successful ? What makes it effective ? How does it impact on your Website and Brand ?
This can be explained by the concept of Five Forces acting on a Social Media Blog, adopting the model of Porter’s Five Forces in Strategy.
Content is ‘heart’ of a blog. It should have a target audience. It should be rich with information which people crave for. You can make content interesting by putting pictures, infographics, stories which might keep your readers engaged. Look out for audience cues by going through various articles. Your idea should be presented the way your audience want.
Following current trends can be a great help in creating content. This allows you to project your thought through blog, which was formed by observing various articles and people’s opinion. The blog can relate to that specific event, which will catch the attention of audience who are already following the event.
New events are always a point of interest for people. Catching the new theme and representing it in a unique way is always welcomed by people. Try to get the latest content and deliver it to your audience. This increases your credibility as a Responsive Blogger, who always provides you the latest information in the way they want.
People you follow in Social Media Platforms can be a lead for your content generation. Following them and reading their post will allow you to access a huge database of information. This can be very useful for writing blogs on different topics. Highly Followed people generally drive the flow of information and trend. Capitalising on that flow can assure some amount of Success.
A high follower base is never a starting point for a new blogger. Connections come to the rescue in this situation. Promoting the website and blogs through word-of-mouth can be effective. Establishing a small initial follower base can be an onset of chain-reaction process for getting new viewers for the blogs and website. Then the growth of the follower base can be organic or occasion advertisements can more help the cause of Brand-Building.
Managing these forces effectively can be a challenge, but once the forces being balanced, it can be a potential success for Self- Branding.
